Using an unmarked Tractor Unit similar to the one pictured below, Police and Highways England Enforcement Officers are clamping-down on dangerous driving in all areas of the UK.
Targetting cars, vans, trucks, coaches and buses, Police are collecting video evidence against offenders, in a way that wasn’t available before, making the chances of a successful prosecution much more likely.
Using mobile phones, and failing to wear seat belts are two of the most common offences recorded so far.
In one area alone, officers caught over 1,000 offenders over a 3 day period, and the scheme is being extended across the whole of the UK road network.
